Thread: Bill Cosby is getting his own anime!

Well it's about time if you ask me.

I've had his closing theme on my blog for like forever.

To be animated by Madhouse and directed by Shoji Kawamori. Starring Norio Wakamoto. World premiere this summer at Comi-con. There are plans to premiere it on G4 by the end of the year.

Why is there no fake art of this?

Alright, first I thought that the Remington Steele animated series was great news, then I thought the Sun Drop animated series was great news, but now, this is the greatest news I've heard all day. To celebrate, I'm gonna eat nothing but Jello Pudding Pops for the next few months.

He's pretty much just producing it. The writing will be done on the Japanese end. He'll also have his likeness applied to the main character (like Samuel L. Jackson was in Afro Samurai) and provide the voice for the English version. G4 is airing it dubbed in English with Japanese subtitles.

EDIT: Oh, and it turns out Shinichi Watanabe (Nabeshin) is now attached to the project.

I heard Fat Albert will be in it, but instead of fat, he'll be skinny, and instead of a teenage boy he'll be a 7-year-old girl, and he'll be running around in panties all the time and have a high-pitched voice. But his name will still be Fat Albert.
