The goal of most old comic book covers was to startle people as much as possible. The "No way can that superhero be doing THAT!!" reaction was the tactic behind most comic sales of the era. In fact, in many cases, the cover would be thought up first and then the story would be written afterward. "Lois Lane" was no stranger to this practice...ergo, Superman tried to kill Lois every other month.
"You...you killed Lois? ......Does this mean you're free
Saturday?"
Whenever Lois
wasn't being murdered, she was marrying somebody other than
Superman.
I don't think this is as nearly a disturbing revelation about
Lois as it is about Batman. Does he make all his women wear that
outfit?
Poor Superman,
huh? There are about three more "Lois Luthor" cartoons,
one in which she kills him by playing Kryptonite notes from an
evil xylophone at an opera house. Or at least that's what its
cover told me.
Lana Lang is for the most part in this comic to irritate the
readers. It's weird to see her in this role after four seasons of
Smallville. Of course, no one likes THAT Lana either!
Now it's a convicted felon...is there anyone Lois won't
marry?
The answer is
no. Lois will marry anyone, case in point.
And so will
Jimmy Olsen.
So...did this happen BEFORE he met Chloe or AFTER? She might need
to know...
