Here are some cartoons I'm guessing they didn't print again because they were already too dated. I'm guessing. Because frankly, I have no idea WHAT events these ones are talking about. Technically I was alive in the 80's, but I was more concerned with hiding under blankets and soiling diapers. I can interpret though. I'm guessing from Panel Four....maaaybe Senator Jesse Helms(who retired in 2001) got a bundle of money from a tobacco corporation in exchange for not looking into their practices. But I've never heard of such an incident at all. |

I've heard of G. Gordon Liddy, but only because he was made fun of in a Pinky and the Brain episode(and that too had a ton of obscure references in it). If he WAS involved in Watergate, Opus is right...he did profit. He had a successful radio talk show for a long long time. |

At one point, to save space I snipped the pictures out of two strips and just pasted in the dialogue. Stupid, stupid. |

I think the joke here is, when Opus ruled out all the political tactics he could think of, there was nothing left. Okay, that's pretty much all the real noodle-scratchers, fortunately. |
