| I'm usually pleased when something Japanese is brought over and not altered or changed around. The Dreamcast game Chu Chu Rocket had the same name when it appeared here, and I'm glad it wasn't changed to Mouse Mouse Rocket (Chu means mouse). But of course, it's not absolute; there are things that just don't work. An air battle game called "Diesenpu" doesn't sound very attractive. Another problem is when some Japanese make attempts at English, or "Engrish." This robot's name is Danger, not "Dangar," and equal problems have shown up in other games...such as the racing game that |

A new game for Game Boy Advance was brought out called E-Z Talk, and it was designed to ease children into the strange and obscure art of speaking English. You may not know it, but English is the second hardest language a person can try to learn (Russian is first). English is constantly changing, and different words have many meanings, plus slang meanings. |
